Addition of name of the Advocate to the List of Advocates proposed to be designated as Senior Advocates, which was earlier published under Rule 6(3) in terms of the Resolution of the Hon’ble Permanent Committee dated 09.03.2022

NOTICE

In terms of Rule 3(3) of the Uttarakhand High Court (Designation of Senior Advocates) Rules, 2018, the Hon’ble Permanent Committee, in its meeting held on 28.12.2021, has resolved to call for applications from the Members of the High Court Bar Association, who have put in 10 years of actual practice, as on 21.02.2022, for consideration of their names for being designated as Senior Advocates. All such Advocates are requested to furnish particulars in the Proforma prescribed under Rule 6(1) of the 2018 Rules as Appendix-A, on or before 21.02.2022, in the office of the Principal Private Secretary to Hon’ble the Acting Chief Justice. It shall also be open to those Advocates, whose names were not favourably considered by the Full Court on 11.07.2019, to submit fresh applications on Appendix-Awithin the above prescribed time limit.

Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi while inaugurating digital filing system of the Supreme Court at Vigyan Bhawan on 10.05.2017 has appealed to the legal fraternity to come forward and take up more cases of poor and under privileged under pro-bono legal service and register themselves in Department of Justice’s website (http://www.doj.gov.in). Further, all the litigants under Section 12 of the Legal Services Authority Act, 1987 are also requested to register in large number for free competent legal aid.
