Sri Pradeep Pant was born on 20.10.1968 at Kashipur, District Udham Singh Nagar. He did his Post Graduation in Law (LL.M.) from Lucknow University securing first position. He was selected in the Uttar Pradesh Judicial Service in the 1990 Batch and joined in 1996 at Lucknow as Civil Judge (Jr. Div.). After promotion to Higher Judicial Service in 2006 he served as Judge, Family Court, Nainital, Hardwar, Special Judge Anti-Corruption CBI, Special Judge (NDPS) and Special Judge (NIA) at Dehradun and also worked as Registrar (Judicial), High Court of Uttarakhand. He also served as Member Secretary, Uttarakhand State Legal Services Authority. Appointed as Director of Uttarakhand Judicial and Legal Academy and assumed his charge on 16th April, 2015. Appointed as Registrar General of High Court of Uttarakhand vide notification dated 14/08/2018 and assumed his charge on 16/08/2018. Transferred to District Court, Almora as District Judge vide notification dated 12/06/2019.
