Shri Yogesh Kumar Gupta

Born on 18 October, 1970 at Agra, Uttar Pradesh, Mr. Gupta attained his primary and secondary education at Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh and thereafter did his B.Sc. in Biology, M.A. in English Literature, LL.B., LL.M. from Agra University, Agra. Enrolled as an Advocate on 31 March, 1996 in Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh, started his practice at civil and criminal side at District and Sessions Court Agra and also dealt with cases Before Labour Court Agra and Industrial Tribunal, Agra.

On joining Higher Judicial Service in the year of 2010, he served as Additional District and Sessions Judge, at Dehradun, Nainital, Outlying Court at Vikas Nagar Dehradun, Special Judge, C.B.I. Court Dehradun. He also served as Special Judge, Vigilance at Nainital, Special Judge N.D.P.S. at Nainital and Vikas Nagar, Dehradun. He has also served as Additional Director of Uttarakhand Judicial and Legal Academy, (UJALA), Bhowali, Nainital from 2015 to 2017. He also served as Judge, Family Court Haridwar for 4 years from 2017 to 2021. He is given selection grade in H.J.S. cadre in 2018.

He is promoted in the rank of District Judge in 2022 and posted as Principal Judge, Family Court Dehradun in March 2022. From 30.09.2022 to 06.06.2025 Posted as District and Sessions Judge, Tehri Garhwal.

Appointed as Registrar General of High Court of Uttarakhand vide notification dated 06.06.2025 and assumed charge of the office on 07.06.2025.
