Hon'ble Mr. Justice M.M.Ghildiyal:- Born on 03/01/1946 in village Khola, near Srinagar, district Pauri Garhwal. He did high school from Srinagar, district Pauri Garhwal, intermediate from Ranikhet, district Almora, B.A. from Allahabad University and LL.B. from Allahabad University. He started practice in Allahabad High Court in the year 1980. From the year 1991 to 1994 he was Special Counsel (State of Uttar Pradesh) at Allahabad High Court. From the year 1997 to 08/11/2000 he was Standing Counsel (State of Uttar Pradesh) at Allahabad High Court. Standing Counsel for Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, Garhwal University, Wadia Institute, Kumaon Jal Sansthan, Nagar Mahapalika Allahabad &  Basic Shiksha Parishad, U.P. On 09/11/2000 he was Standing Counsel (State of Uttarakhand) at High Court of Uttarakhand at Nainital. On 01/12/2001 he was Chief Standing Counsel (State of Uttarakhand) at High Court of Uttarakhand at Nainital. Standing Counsel for Uttarakhand Public Service Commission, O.N.G.C., Garhwal University, Kumaon Jal Sansthan, etc. On 18/11/2002 he was elevated as Judge of the High Court of Uttarakhand at Nainital. Retired on 02/01/2008. Appointed as Chairman of Uttarakhand Judicial and Legal academy on 07/01/2008. Assumed charge of Lokayukta of  Uttarakhand on 01/11/2008.
